My name is Gozde Ozbayram. I’m a phd student in Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.
I’m an environmental engineer and got my MSc in environmental biotechnology programme.
What is your area of expertise?
Methane production from animal manure, Microbial ecology and community functions of rumen environment and anaerobic digesters.
Where does your focus lie within your current project(s)? (related to methane)
My phd project focuses on enhancing methane production in anaerobic digestion systems treating cow manure by enriching microorganism in
cattle digestive tract responsible for the hydrolysis of the cellulosic substrate and production of their lignocellulose degrading enzymes.
What would be the added value for you of joining an international researchers network? (such as the
METHAGENE network)
Being a part of an international network makes easier to cooperate with the researchers working in the similar topics.
