What is your area of expertise?
Our work-team is dealing with the effect of different diet additives mainly medicinal plants, on fermentation
characteristics, concentration of methane, microbial population and fatty acid concentration in rumen of sheep.
Where does your focus lie within your current project(s)? (related to methane)
One of the main goals of our work is to observe the effect of tested diet additives on methane production in
sheep rumen.
What would be the added value for you of joining an international researchers network? (such as the
METHAGENE network)
Joining the international Methagene network would give me chance to stay in contact with people who work in the
same field, discuss and compare our results; moreover it would facilitate possible cooperation.
What and/or who inspired you to make a career in science?
It was my friend who inspired me.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I like to find out new facts and information, to learn new methods.
What is your most stand-out or surprising moment in science so far?
I am fascinated by the rapid growth of the quality of science and the global impact of the obtained results.
