What is your area of expertise?
Area of expertise: Fermentation Processes in the Rumen and Intestine of Ruminants and their Influencing
by Nutritional Factors.
Where does your focus lie within your current project(s)? (related to methane)
My interest in current projects is focusing on methane determining factors associated with variation in methane
production as well as proxies for methane emission especially inexpensive indicators of methane emissions in
relation to animal nutrition and digestion.
What would be the added value for you of joining an international researchers network? (such as the
METHAGENE network)
Within an international researchers network (METHGENE) I would like to exchange and share the knowledge in
breeding ruminants with lower environmental footprints resulting in less contribution to global warming.
What and/or who inspired you to make a career in science?
I have been inspired by my husband, who is researcher in parasitology.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I like position as postdoctoral fellow supervisor because work with young people inspiring me very much.
What is your most stand-out or surprising moment in science so far?
This is each simple day when I am expecting to achieve scientific output from ongoing experiment.
