METHAGENE Expert group meeting on “Proxies for methane: Combined methane data analysis – Padova meeting”.

From June 26-27, 2017, an expert group of Methagene Working Group 3 gathered in the facilities of Agripolis (Università di Padova) Legnaro, in Padova. The main objective of the meeting was to review the progress made during the last four months and to have a first look at the combined data and results of the preliminary analysis to set out the road map for the final part of the work. During the meeting, update on the progress, detailed description of the combined data, preliminary results as well as new methodologies for the combined data analysis were presented and discussed. At the end, the meeting set a plan for the final data edition and analysis and divided the task among the group members. The results of this work when completed will be presented at the final Methagene meeting in Caserta, Italy, 11-13 October 2017, and eventually submitted for publication in a scientific journal. In total, twelve experts from different countries teaching and research institutions, which are all members of the METHAGENE consortium, attended the meeting. The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Enyew Negussie and Dr. Filippo Biscarini who are leaders of the WG3 of the METHAGENE COST Action FA1302.
